Keeping Bluegrass traditions

The Blue Holler is South Georgia and North Florida’s award-winning premier acoustic Bluegrass band.  

Blue Holler was honored with 6th place in the 37th Annual SPBGMA International Band Competition in Nashville, Tn.  on February 2, 2020.  This was the first major competition we have participated in and it was an awesome experience meeting and participating with 20 amazing Bluegrass  bands from the United States.

On October 29, 2022 Blue Holler Band was honored to be inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame. 

Individual awards band members have received include Seabie Ewer's induction into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and induction into the Georga Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.

Brandon Gandy  won the Georgia State Banjo Championship in 2012 and was inducted into the and Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022.

Skylar Gandy won Georga State Fiddle Championship in 2012 and was inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022. 

Brandon Taylor was inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022. 

Marshall Roberts was inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022. 

Since 2004 Blue Holler has performed a mixture of traditional, contemporary, jazz-influenced  and gospel bluegrass music, dazzling audiences at every venue where they perform.  

From an early age these multi talented men have honed their musical skills performing at regional venues in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Blue Holler’s instrumental perfection combined with impressive family style harmonies are unforgettable.   

Heavy influences from traditional artists such as Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin and Tony Rice provide the foundational roots of Blue Holler’s sound.  Influences from other artists including John Hartford, Kenny Smith, Lonesome River Band, and Etta James bring other exciting facets to Blue Holler’s shows. 
 
The Blue Holler has performed at festivals, auditoriums, radio stations, churches, coffee shops, and venues including Randy's Pickn' Parlor (GA),  Everett’s Music Barn (GA), Landmark Park Bluegrass festival (AL), Holiday Hills Music Park (FL), Hill Side Bluegrass festival (GA), Rivertown Days (GA), Great Southern Music festival (GA), Henderson Bluegrass (AL), Farmers Appreciation Days (GA), SunBelt Agricultural Exposition (GA), Whigham Rattlesnake Round Up (GA), Colquitt County Arts Center (GA), Thomasville Municipal Auditorium (GA), Gulf Coast Bluegrass and Music festival (FL), Thomas County Cultural Center (GA), Pebble Hill Plantation (GA), Wild Adventures Theme Park (GA),  Heart of Bluegrass Alzheimer's Project (FL), and many other plantation venues and private engagements.

Blue Holler has had the privilege to share the stage with some of the great bands like Kenny and Amanda Smith, Clay Hess Band and Bobby Hicks.
